Here are a few of my favorite things in the Palm Springs area.
Hiking Indian Canyons
About 12 bucks for adults and it is simply fantastic. Close to town too!
Joshua Tree National Park
Find yourself on another planet... a world away from any ordinary landscape. It's a marvel and only about a 40 minute drive from Palm Springs
Pride
We call it Pride here because you don't have to be gay to enjoy it. It is for the LGBTQ+ community and open to all. It's the first week of November and the rainbows shine brightly. Palm Springs opens her arms to everyone to share this wonderful week.
Palm Springs Art Museum
At the base of Mt. San Jacinto, this is a very approachable and top drawer museum featuring modernists and traditionalists. Very high caliber and worth a few hours of your time every time you visit.
Shopping Palm Canyon
So many stores to choose from. From top designers to simply T-shirts. You will find galleries, gelato shops, revival antiques and more!
Taquitz Canyon Trails
Another oasis in the desert. Very easy trails take you to some of the most beautiful scenery around. Complete with waterfalls. About 12 bucks for adults to venture on this mile-long trail.
Modernism week
Held once in the spring and once in the fall, you will see why Palm Springs has been put on the world's architectural maps. Take a tour or walk yourself.
